Even though kids supposedly hate Twitter, there are still a few of characters out there to follow. As if you haven’t already wasted enough time reading the tweets of real people (most of the time). Pinecone munching Solarian Gustafer Yellowgold (@Gustafer) tweets about his encounters with earth dwellers.
Samples from @OfficialElmo, @OfficialBigBird, @OfficialCookieM, @R2D2, @The_Pigeon, @HappySquared, @SantaClaus, @realeasterbunny, and @toothfairynews after the jump. Also, Dora’s dark side revealed on twitter. More >
Everyone’s favorite robot sidekick @R2D2 seems to have a lot to say. The tweets are more enjoyable if you speak bleep bloop or have a direct line with C3.
Beloved character from children’s book author Mo Willems is on the Twitter. Keep in touch with@The_Pigeon even after you refuse to let the Pigeon drive the bus or eat a hot dog.

Not sure if this @OfficialElmo feed is really “official”. But Elmo is not the only Sesame Street resident to find their way onto Twitter. @OfficialBigBird, @OfficialCookieM are keeping him company.
SpongeBob (@HappySquared) is a pretty regular tweeter with some funny updates.
And, becauase its never to early to start being nice instead of naughty. @SantaClaus is on the Twitter now. What a convenient way to let him know what you want for Christmas.

While we are at it, the Easter Bunny (@realeasterbunny) has a feed as well.
And we don’t want to leave out the Tooth Fairy (@TOOTHFAIRYNEWS) Actually, that feed is curated by a Tooth Fairy expert, Sheri Ann Bell-Rehwoldt author of You think it’s easy being the Tooth Fairy?

And a bonus for NSFK (Not Safe for Kids):
PARENTS of Dora fans ONLY. @doraexplorer is not Dora approved. With tweets like “I wonder where my mom is… probably out at strip clubs looking for my dad.” Of course Dora would reveal her hysterically dark side on Twitter.

If anyone has any suggestions, please send along in the comments. I’m sure I missed some biggies.
