This is a delicious candy bar. It’s like an up-market Snickers®, but with all the ingredients taken up several notches. I tried my first recently and just can’t stop thinking about it. From their website

We use the best ingredients available: full flavored, 65% chocolate, freshly roasted Virginia peanuts, muscovado brown sugar from Mauritius, to name just a few.

But its not all about the ingredients. They put some serious thought into their technique:

…we make our nougat and caramel in small batches to make sure we achieve the perfect smooth and sensual texture we prefer. We roast and salt our own peanuts to get the optimal crunch and freshness. Once we’ve created all of the elements of the bar we dip each one into our rich dark Ecuadorian chocolate.

I’m so glad that I can buy them close to my home. Or am I?

My favorite mom blogging chef Eila Johson has just posted the next video (that I helped produce). Since our shoot day, these protein pancakes are a regular in our house. Topped with agave or maple syrup. Even though they get gobbled up, I usually make extra. I like to roll one up for a snack or a quick breakfast on the go.

I’m a big fan if Eila Johnson’s cooking blog, Full Plate Cooking aka Meals in a Snap. She has this amazing way of making tasty and healthful meals very easy to make. I’m the kind of cook that needs a nudge in the right direction when it comes to making something that I haven’t made before. Eila’s recipes are accessible and interesting to those with better culinary skills.

I liked her blog so much that I decided to help produce these videos. Take a look and tell me what you think. The chicken enchiladas taste great. Using a rotisserie chicken is a genius timesaver. After the shoot, Eila was nice enough to let me take some home “for my wife”. Of course, she didn’t get to try a single bite. Yep, I ate that entire pan all by myself.

This is such a great idea. Rise and shine to the smell of a pancake and egg breakfast without any effort at all. Too bad its fake. The folks over at Prankpack.com have ideas that are simply too good for this world. We’re just not ready for the Beer Beard or the BirdieBelt or Coffee Talkies. For now, these ideas are only good enough to be printed on empty boxes to fool your friends. Someday, though, I will wake up to the smell of perfectly and automatically made pancakes and eggs. If I just keep believing…
