I connected with my pal Morgan Taylor of Gustafer Yellowgold fame and challenged him to tell a story on a single page. He spent about an hour and a half completing the drawing as my camera snapped about a frame a second. It was a blast watching the picture – and the story – come to life on the page.

The result is a charming story about a picnic with friends that turns into a rescue mission. I am hoping to do more of this with other authors, artists and storytellers in the future.

The concept was inspired by director Jack Ferry’s music video for Jeffrey Lewis.

Kids music podcast The Saturday Morning Cereal Bowl just posted a World Premiere Video from Gustafer Yellowgold’s latest release. Gustafer is heavy on the playlist in my house, so this release has been eagerly anticipated for a while. And it doesn’t disappoint. They are doing a video a week on various blogs. Stay tuned.

Picture 8Everyone’s favorite robot sidekick @R2D2 seems to have a lot to say. The tweets are more enjoyable if you speak bleep bloop or have a direct line with C3.

Not sure if this @OfficialElmo feed is really “official”. But Elmo is not the only Sesame Street resident to find their way onto Twitter.  @OfficialBigBird, @OfficialCookieM are keeping him company.

And, becauase its never to early to start being nice instead of naughty. @SantaClaus is on the Twitter now. What a convenient way to let him know what you want for Christmas.

mf-3d-72dpi1Great review for my pal Gustafer Yellowgold’s latest CD/DVD set. Oh yeah, and there’s something about a grainy documentary short as well. Someone once told me that I have an uncanny resemblance to Sweetman Masters. Not exactly sure how to take that.  I stumbled upon Gustafer Yelowgold a few years ago at a small venue. Since then, he’s topped my list of indie kid artists.
